8.30am: Kostas Manolas has reportedly told Chelsea he has no intention of leaving Roma this summer in another transfer blow.

The Blues have made a new centre-back their top priority this summer as they look to boost their backline.

Several stars have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge including Manolas, Kalidou Koulibaly, Daniele Rugani and Jamaal Lascelles.

But they have suffered a knockback in their transfer plans after the Greek defender rejected their advances, according to CalcioMercato.

7.30am: Jack Wilshere is reportedly in Turkey finalising a move to Fenerbahce.

The midfielder is out of contract this summer and he announced earlier this month that he’d be leaving his boyhood club following a meeting with new boss Unai Emery.

The 26-year-old was keen to stay with the Gunners but is determined to get regular playing time and has been linked with West Ham, Crystal Palace and Everton.

However according to Turkish journalist Volkan Demir, Wilshere is set to try his hand in the Turkish Super Lig.

He tweeted: “Jack Wilshere left Istanbul today. The information I received is over.

“Fenerbahce’s first transfer to be good. I expect the transfer to be confirmed on Monday.”

6am: Real Madrid have answered to rumours that they lowered Cristiano Ronaldo’s release clause to £100million.

Several reports emerged in the Spanish and English press stating that his release clause had been lowered by £886m to £100m.

The reports stated that new boss Julen Lopetugui was ready to bin the Portuguese star and build a new team.

But the European champions have since come out and rubbished those claims, according to Marca.

3am: The bookies believe Bayern Munich are leading Manchester United in the race to sign Germany striker Timo Werner.

Bookmakers Coral price the RB Leipzig star at 7-4 to join Bayern while Jose Mourinho’s United are currently trailing with odds of 5-1.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead told Starsport: “As one of the hottest prospects in German football playing away from Bayern Munich, it seems very likely that the Bavarian club will try to lure him away from Leipzig.

12am: United star Paul Pogba remains France’s main leader at the World Cup despite the criticism against him, team-mate Thomas Lemar says.

“He’s leading us all, he’s smiling, he’s also giving is good advice,” Lemar said.

“He’s a guy who like to take responsibilities and he’s doing it well in this tournament. I hope it will go on like that for him and us in the competition.”

France take on Argentina in the last-16 of the World Cup this Saturday.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead told Starsport: “As one of the hottest prospects in German football playing away from Bayern Munich, it seems very likely that the Bavarian club will try to lure him away from Leipzig.

“We think they’re the probable destination should he leave this summer, which will come as a blow to Manchester United.”

6.25pm: Romelu Lukaku is wanted by Real Madrid this summer with Los Blancos ready to offer Cristiano Ronaldo in a huge swap deal to Manchester United.

That’s according to reports in Spain that claim the Champions League winners want the Belgian to replace Karim Benzema.

Lukaku has impressed at the World Cup, netting four times in the first two group matches.

Diario Gol, known for their extravagant transfer claims, say Real are ready to offer United £44m (€50m) and Ronaldo for the 25-year-old.

The reports claim the Red Devils are interested in the 33-year-old Portugal star.

And they even say contact has been made between United and Real Madrid over Ronaldo.

5pm: Roma are confident defender Kostas Manolas will not be heading to Chelsea.

“I’ve spoken to Kostas three or four times, he enjoys my job and might make a decent Director of Football himself,” Roma chief Monchi revealed at a press conference.

“He’s happy with the team and wants to stay.

“I’ve read that Chelsea want to pay the buyout clause, but I haven’t heard anything.

“I feel calm.”

3.45pm: Kalidou Koulibaly has been backed to make a move to the Premier League this summer by Phil Neville.

He said: “I think he will end up in the Premier League soon.

“If you’re looking at the best defenders in the Champions League, in European football, I think this lad is one of them.

“So strong, brilliant on the cover. I think one-on-one defending there is no-one better, because if you have somebody up against him he loves it.

“He’s a beast in the way he defends, look at him getting the blocks in, gives the centre-forward absolutely nothing.

“I think he’s the leader, he gives this team the foundation. Good with his feet, distribution with both sides.

“I think working with the coach at Napoli, (Maurizio) Sarri, has helped him defensively in the way that he reads the game.

“I’m an absolute massive fan.”

3pm: James Rodriguez has been invited to join Barcelona by Nou Camp star Gerard Pique.

Rodriguez used to play for Barca’s arch-rivals Real Madrid before heading to Bayern Munich.

But he’ll be welcomed back to Spain by Pique.

“You are invited to Barcelona whenever you want,” he said.

2.10pm: Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly asked Ed Woodward to sign Real Madrid star Toni Kroos.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, the former Real boss has pleaded with Old Trafford chiefs to make the deal happen.

Kroos is seen as the ideal midfield partner for Paul Pogba, who was heavily criticised for his performances last season.

1.25pm: Arsenal are closing in on Lucas Torreira with a medical to be completed soon.

He won’t be the only new addition, with Sokratis Papastathopoulous to sign soon, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Romano wrote on Twitter: “Lucas Torreira will have medicals with Arsenal soon, the deal is completed. And Arsenal will finalize Sokratis Papastathopoulous deal too!”

12.30pm: Mexico World Cup star Hector Herrera is wanted by Premier League trio Arsenal, Everton and West Ham.

Porto’s midfield star has attracted attention from England and other clubs around Europe.

The 28-year-old could be sold for a bargain £13m this summer with his contract running down and Portuguese outlet Correio da Manha claim he could now be heading to England.

11.35am: Chelsea are leading Liverpool and Real Madrid in the racer for Roma star Alisson.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Roma have given the green light for him to move to London.

The report claims that Chelsea could be set to snap up Alisson for €70m (£61.8m) as a replacement for Thibaut Courtois.

10.40am: Leeds want to sign former Brighton and Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale this summer.

He joined Birmingham last summer after leaving the Seagulls following their promotion to the Premier League.

And the Yorkshire Evening Post say he’s now wanted on loan with the view to a permanent stay.

10.15am: Nacho Monreal could leave Arsenal for Real Sociedad this summer.

Spanish outlet Noticias de Gipuzkoa claim Real are keen on the left-back but will have to try and persuade the Gunners to let him leave on the cheap.

Monreal is currently away on World Cup duty with Spain.

9.30am: Manchester United are set to sign goalkeeper Lee Grant – but he won’t play for the club.

Grant is set to join from Stoke on a free transfer, but will third choice and highly unlikely to get a game.

The Manchester Evening News report the ex-Derby man could help out with coaching at Old Trafford.

8.15am: Is the Lucas Torreira to Arsenal deal OFF?

The midfielder has looked set to join the club for weeks, but Spanish journalist Kike Marin has now hinted that all is not well.

Replying to a Twitter post claiming a deal for Torreira is ‘all but done’, he replied: “I’m not sure…”

He later followed up that tweet by posting: “I also believed it, but…”

7.30am: Wayne Rooney is set to become a DC United player TODAY.

The former England and Manchester United star is heading to America to play for the Washington side after Everton sanctioned a free transfer. 

6am: Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic admits he reads speculation in the newspapers regarding his future.

Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of Milinkovic-Savic and wants him to further bolster his midfield options following the signing of Fred.

But the former Genk man, who scored 12 Serie A goals last season, gave little away in when speaking after the Brazil match.

“I need a little bit of rest now,” Milinkovic-Savic told Italian TV Mediaset.

“I’ll return to Rome and I would be happy if I stay at Lazio, as I’m content there and I have a contract.”

3am: United, Liverpool and even Arsenal are considering moves for Tottenham forward Son Heung-min, according to German outlet SPORT1.

The South Korea international’s future at Spurs is reportedly in some doubt as he looks to take his career to the next level.

Son is contracted at Tottenham until 2020 and his deal does not contain a buyout clause, with Spurs valuing the former Bayer Leverkusen man at £62m.

And with the 25-year-old considering quitting Spurs, United, Liverpool and Arsenal are all said to be monitoring his situation.

12am: Liverpool fans have blasted rumours of a move for Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio as unnecessary.

Jurgen Klopp was interested in Lyon’s Nabil Fekir but the deal has collapsed, according to Get French Football.

Spanish outlet MARCA claim the Reds have now turned their attention to Asensio and are preparing a staggering £159m bid.

But the Anfield faithful are not convinced this would be the best move for the club.

Paul Machin, host of popular Liverpool fan show The Redmen TV said: “I just don’t know whether Asensio would be good for Liverpool, whether he would fit Liverpool but for what he’s achieved at such a young age at Real Madrid, I don’t think I’d be upset with either.”
