The upload on Instagram showed just what an emotional journey it’s been for the shot-stopper.
His time in Turin has seen him play a pivotol role in their success, he boasts; nine Scudetti victories, four Coppa Italia trophies and one Serie B title.
For his national side, he can also add a World Cup trophy to that list of honours
In what was a fitting tribute to the club colours, he uploaded a collage in black and white and began the caption with “17 years in Juventus closing officially today.”
The 40-year-old said: “17 years of friends, comrades, tears, victories, defeats, trophies, words, anger, disappointments, happiness and many, many emotions.”
“I’ll never forget anything.
I’ll always bring everything with me.”
The 40-year-old has yet to confirm where his future lies, but is rumoured to be heading to Paris to join the big-spending Ligue 1 outfit.
He may have had his dreams of finishing his international career off at the World Cup in Russia cut short.
And winning this year’s Champions League- but he will go down as a legend for both club and country.
