WORLD CUP 2018 is just a couple of weeks away, and we have picked our best possible XI from the players heading to Russia.

The Champions League final took place on Saturday – but two of the key men from the final will not be going to Russia.

That’s because match-winner Gareth Bale’s Wales failed to qualify – as did Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk’s Holland.

But the majority of the world’s best will be battling it out to win the World Cup in Russia next month.

We’ve put together a best XI from the tournament squads in a 4-2-3-1 formation – and there were plenty of difficult choices.

Unfortunately, not a single England player makes the cut with competition fierce.

Three Germany players feature, and two men apiece from Brazil and Spain.

Four other countries are represented by a single superstar in our pre-World Cup team of the tournament.
