Alvaro Morata has responded to Manchester United’s sudden withdrawal in signing him. The Real Madrid forward was said to have agreed personal terms with the Old Trafford club however Real Madrid’s refusal to bring down their asking price stopped Manchester United from signing him.
The Red Devils have now turned their attention to Everton striker Romelu Lukaku which imeans they are no longer interested in Morata.
Following the news about Lukaku, it is understood that United told Real Madrid that they won’t be pursuing Morata any longer.
The newly married striker is currently on his honeymoon has been quiet on social media since the news broke but reports in Spain suggest he has been left upset by the decision.
Spanish outlet Marca reported that Morata had been ‘desperate to join United’ and is ‘upset with the current situation.’
