Arsenal are on the verge of completing another club record deal for French star Alexandre Lacazette after the Lyon striker was reported to be undergoing a medical with the Gunners on Tuesday afternoon
The most recent news originates from Sky Sports, with Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas effectively affirming at the weekend to nearby Lyon-based media that an arrangement was near being settled inside ‘maybe a couple days’.

“The transfer will be in the range between €45m and €50m,” Ausas said to Le Progres.
“Being close to €50m is something unique, and will probably be a record for Arsenal and Olympique Lyonnais as well. We will probably reach a new record, it’s not a small transfer, €50m for a player trained by our club.”
A €50m deal equates to £43.9m and would surpass the record £42.5m fee that Arsenal paid Real Madrid to buy Mesut Ozil in the summer of 2013.
