Barcelona have placed a huge price tag on attacking midfielder Arda Turan, and with enthusiasm originating from various clubs – including Arsenal – the Spanish giants are positively setting the bar high for the Turkish worldwide.
Turan is not broadly thought to be a starter in the Barcelona side, in spite of various great performances which saw him score 13 goals in all competitions last season.
According to Turkish site Fanatik, Barcelona are supposedly just ready to listen to offers over €65m for the 30-year-old.
With seemingly not a lot of years left in his career, it is certainly an ambitious price tag which is likely to put off suitors, as his value is only certainly going to depreciate.
Barcelona’s price tag could be to scare away any interest from across European football – such as reported clubs Arsenal and Besiktas – in order to retain the quality in depth they require to challenge on a number of fronts next season.
