Liverpool are on the verge of confirming their second summer signing with report claiming the Reds have reached an agreement with Serie A side AS Roma for the signature of 25-year-old Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Salah.
Both clubs have been discussing the structure of the transfer, with Roma initially demanding £39m but Liverpool hope to strike a compromise with around £5million in add-ons being part of the deal.
Salah scored 19 goals for Roma last season and has already privately expressed his desire to join Liverpool and if all goes as planned, Jurgen Klopp’s side can land their man for £35m before June 30.
Salah almost moved to Anfield in January 2014 from Basel but ended up signing for Premier League rivals Chelsea where he struggled to impress. He then joined Fiorentina on loan before another loan spell with Roma who eventually snapped him up on a permanent deal.
