Juventus are reportedly monitoring contract situation of teenage sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma at AC Milan according to a report in Gazetta Delo Sport this morning.
The report noted that Bianconeri’s general manager Giuseppe Marotta claims his side has every right to check up on the Italian goalkeeping prodigy.
Also, Donnarumma has informed Milan that he will not be re-signing with the club and his contract expires next summer.
The highly rated shotstopper is generating interest from a number of clubs and it seems Juventus have joined the chase for one of European football’s hottest young talents.
“Could Juve sign him? It’s clear that Juve have the right to examine every opportunity. When a player is on the market we have a duty to try,” Marotta told Corriere della Sera.
“Are we in for him? At the moment, no… He’s a talent, then we have to distinguish between a talent and a champion.”
Donnarumma has been dubbed as the heir apparent to legendary Juve and Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and the pair have already worked together on the Azzurri national team duty.
