Eredivisie giants Ajax have confirmed the appointment of a new coach following the sacking of Peter Bosz as they aim to reclaim the league title from Feyenoord next season.
Ajax, who finished as runners up in the 2016/17 campaign, have named Marcel Keizer as their new manager.
Keizer, 48, has been promoted from the club’s reserve team, Jong Ajax, who he guided to a second-place finish in Dutch football’s second tier last season.
Keizer takes over the reins at the European giants after Bosz, who led Ajax to the final of the Europa League last term where they lost 2-0 to Manchester United in Stockholm.
Following his exit from the Amsterdam Arena, Keizer has since been appointed manager of Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.
