The stage is set for this year’s UEFA Champions League final to be played at the Principality Stadium in Wales tomorrow June 3rd after one of the two teams touched down in Cardiff on Friday afternoon.
Legendary Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and the rest of the Juventus squad departed Italy for Wales on Friday morning and the players appeared in confident mood prior to their departure.
The Serie A and Coppa Italia winners touched down in Wales this afternoon before they travelled to their team hotel – the Vale Resort in Hensol as they gear up for the blockbuster clash with the Spanish giants.
Buffon, Gonzalo Higuain and the rest of Massimiliano Allegri’s side were pictured waving at the excited onlookers at the Cardiff Airport.
Vale Resort is fully booked out for the Juve squad as well as guests of the Welsh Government, FAW and the club.
The four-star hotel has plenty on offer for the players including a darts board, table tennis and fusball table inside the recreational room and seats have been lined up for briefings ahead of the final.
Meanwhile, Italian airline Alitalia have arranged 39 special flights to transport nearly 4,000 Juventus fans to the Champions League final on Saturday in Cardiff.
The flights on Friday and Saturday will depart from Turin, Verona, Milan, Bologna, Rome and Catania.
Alitalia will even employ a long-haul Airbus A330 to accommodate the extra demand.
