Tottenham’s stunning 2016/17 Premier League campaign ended with the 7-1 thrashing of Hull City on Sunday as they inked a new record in the England topflight albeit Spurs had to settle for a second-place finish as Chelsea picked up the ultimate gong.

Harry Kane bagged himself another hat-trick in the rout over the Tigers as the England striker ended the season as the division’s highest goalscorer with Tottenham also emerging as the highest scoring club in the Premier League with 86 goals, they also conceded the fewest of any side with just 26 and suffered the least number of defeats.

Kane’s treble was his fifth Premier League hat-trick this season, which ensured he equalled Alan Shearer’s record from the 1995/96 season.

In addition, it’s a club-record points tally of 86 and their highest ever Premier League finish as there are certainly countless positives to take away from the season for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
