In an astonishing revelation by Football Leaks, Cristiano Ronaldo was paid almost £1million for a four-and-half hour job four years ago by a Saudi Arabia firm.

As per the report, Saudi telecoms firm and Ronaldo’s Irish image rights company, Multisports & Image Management, agreed a contract for a £920,000 fee in 2013.

The job which the 32-year-old Real Madrid forward was hired for comprises a photo-shoot, five signed shirts and two guaranteed mentions on his social media feed.

The Saudi firm were also licensed to use the Portuguese megastar’s image from the day for advertising but only in the Middle East and north Africa, not worldwide.

Nevertheless, the huge fee illustrates just how much Ronaldo is worth to corporations and how he has accumulated his fortune since making a name for himself at Manchester United eight years ago.

In 2015, Gestitfute, the firm owned by Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes, calculated the four-time Ballon d’Or winner’s total worth and assets to be £190million.

Ronaldo was in action last night as he helped Real progress to this season’s Champions League final, beating La Liga neighbours Atletico Madrid 4-2 on aggregate to set up a mouthwatering date with Juventus in the Cardiff showpiece.

Los Blancos will be the first team in the competition’s history to win the Champions League back to back if they beat Juventus at the Principality Stadium on June 3rd.
