Allsoccerplanet broke the news yesterday after Everton teamed up with Kenya-based gaming company SportPesa to sign a five-year shirt sponsorship deal, the biggest kit contract in the Merseysiders history.
Fast forward 24hours later, Everton launched their home kit for 2017/18 campaign with their new sponsors name emblazoned on the front.
The latest Umbro design also sees the return of the classic diamond pattern down both the sleeves of the shirt and on the shorts as well as the silhouette of club legend Dixie Dean which features on the back of the new home shirt.
At a launch event at the Invisible Wind Factory in Liverpool on Tuesday night, club captain Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines and Ross Barkley all sported the stylish new strip in front of hundreds of lucky supporters.
The kit, which is comprised of a traditional royal blue shirt with navy panels, white shorts and white socks, has been unveiled as part of the Together Blue campaign, which celebrates the strong local contingent in the Blues squad.
The pique fabric used in the shirt is designed to aid performance, while the structured mesh used in the underarm area helps with breathability.
As well as featuring the diamond logo, the shorts also have contrast side panels and woven fabric to give players extra movement.
The white socks are made with a cotton footbed for comfort and also feature a blue contrast stripe and the Umbro logo.
Everton’s new home kit is available to pre-order now online and in-store. It goes on sale on June 8th in men’s, women’s, junior and infant sizes.
