La Liga giants have reportedly entered the race to sign the hottest prospect in European football at the moment with Manchester United and Barcelona already in pursuit of the 18-year-old French forward.

According to L’Equipe, Real Madrid are reportedly set to lodge a staggering £85m bid to sign Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe this summer, which is bad news for their rivals Barcelona and Premier League powerhouse United who plucked Anthony Martial from the same Ligue 1 club two years ago.

Real president Florentino Perez is not the type who is scared of spending and he is striving to deliver a marquee signing this summer and has vowed to do whatever it takes to sign Mbappe which according to the report would involve a transfer fee of around £85m.

Mbappe’s terrific form this term has helped them to top spot in France and the semi-finals of the Champions League after netting 23 goals and 11 assists in 37 games across all competitions and he is currently the youngest player to score twice in a Champions League game.
