The 2016/17 UEFA Europa League draw took place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday morning and it produced some scintillating fixtures scheduled to take place on May 4th with the return leg the following week.

Manchester United, who knocked out Belgian club Anderlecht in extra time last night, progressing 3-2 on aggregate, have been drawn against Spanish opposition Celta Vigo in their Europa League semi-final.

Jose Mourinho’s men play the first leg at Balaidos on May 4 with the return leg at Old Trafford on May 11.

In the other semi-final Ajax take on Lyon with the first leg in Amsterdam.

This season’s Europa League final will take place at the Friends Arena in Stockholm on May 24.
