Two of Arsenal’s finest may be heading for the Emirates Stadium exit this summer if this report by Yahoo Sports holds any atom of verity.
As per the report, Gunners best two players Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are wanted by Ligue 1 powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG drew with Arsenal twice in the Champions League last year, but the French giants have fared much better than Arsène Wenger’s side in recent seasons, reaching the quarter-finals four times since the Premier League side’s last appearance in the last eight.
PSG will likely move for Chilean striker Sanchez first, with Yahoo reporting that the Ligue 1 holders will open with a bid of €55m for the 28-year-old.
The same source claims that PSG are continuing to monitor Ozil’s situation.
Both Alexis and Ozil have just over 12 months left on their current contracts, leaving Arsenal in a weak negotiating position.
Alexis has been Arsenal’s main man this season, providing 19 goals and nine assists in 31 Premier League outings while Ozil, who has been a shadow of himself, has only supplied six assists which is poor judging by the German midfielder’s standards and netted seven goals.
