Arsenal go into the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 clash with Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night trailing the German champions 5-1 on aggregate following the humiliation the Gunners suffered a fortnight ago in Munich.
However, Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has warned his players that they must be respectful and show humility against Arsenal tomorrow.
“The door is open, but we have to go through it now, seriously and respectfully,” Rummenigge told Bild .
“We have to be humble, we did so in 2013 under Jupp Heynckes and so we are going to do it again. Quietly and objectively and seriously play the opponents in the hope that we are there in May or maybe even in June.”
Arsenal dropped out of the English Premier League top four at the weekend following a 3-1 loss at Liverpool.
