La Liga giants Barcelona could be fined by UEFA following events that ensued after Luis Enrique’s side defeated Paris Saint-Germain 6-1 at Camp Nou against all odds on Wednesday night to progress to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Barca were trailing PSG 4-0 from the first leg in Paris and needed a miracle to scale through to the next round, something they found from the boot of Sergi Roberto late into the second half to break the hears of PSG supporters.

However, Barcelona fans ran on the field to celebrate the win which is against UEFA rules and the European football governing body says it has opened a disciplinary case for ‘field invasions by supporters’.

UEFA disciplinary panel will begin hearing on the case on Thursday, March 23rd.
