Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has enjoyed a tremendous 2016-17 season with Arsenal so far this season.
After swapping his flying-winger role for a central striking berth, the Chilean ace has netted 13 times – second to only Diego Costa‘s 14.
The Chilean has misplaced more passes than any other player in the top flight, with 222 of his 857 attempts not finding their intended target; but that doesn’t mean he is the worst passer in the league, that unwanted honour goes to West Brom’s Craig Dawson, based on accuracy percentage.
With Sanchez operating predominantly in the final third, his passes often cause a breakdown of promising attacks, spurning goal-scoring chances and precious points in the process.
The Gunners man’s passing percentage may not be the lowest – ranking 13th from bottom of all to distribute more than 500 passes – but the sheer volume alone of his stray passes is the worst in the Premier League.
