Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is on the verge of joining Everton after Manchester United accepted a £22million bid for the midfielder.
The fee could eventually rise to £24m during his time with the Toffees as his impending transfer look set to be completed within the next 48 hours.
The 27-year-old will complete his medical at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground before putting pen-to-paper on a contract.
And Ronald Koeman could throw him straight into action when Everton face Manchester City on Sunday.
Schneiderlin told boss Jose Mourinho that he wanted out of Old Trafford this month having failed to secure regular first-team football.
And after United’s 2-0 victory over Hull, Mourinho confirmed that Schneiderlin is on his way to Goodison Park.
He said: “I have no details but before the match, I was informed by Mr Woodward that the situation is close so Morgan is more than probably going to Everton.
“I’m sad and I’m happy. I’m sad because I like him and he could be an option for us in a long season. I’m happy because this is what he wants”
Toffees boss Koeman has been determined to reunite with the Frenchman after the duo worked together at Southampton.
Schneiderlin has played just 11 minutes of Premier League football under the Portuguese boss this season and hasn’t been selected in the last eight league matchday squads.
