Italian newspaper Gazetta dello Sport claims Arsenal were looking to smash their record transfer with a £56m bid for Andrea Belotti but it appears Torino chairman Urbano Cairo doesn’t seem to be tempted by the seductive offer from the English Premier League club.
Andrea Belotti has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium over the last few days, with Arsenal supposedly making an approach for the Torino striker, a bid Arsenal have denied.
However, Cairo has ruled out any link between the striker and Arsène Wenger’s side scuppered suggestions that he could move to north London in Italian newspaper.
Belotti has scored 17 goals in 22 appearances for Torino this term.
Torino face AC Milan in the Coppa Italia round of 16 on Thursday at the San Siro.
