Having won the league the year previously in his first season in England, Jose Mourinho started his second campaign in the best manner possible. After beginning with a nine game winning streak from the first day of the season, the Blues went one better to record 10 games in a row.
From November through to January, Chelsea were unstoppable during the many London derbies; defeating the likes of Arsenal away, local rivals Fulham at home and West Ham away in brilliant period, before being stopped at home by Charlton Athletic 1-1.
Where did they finish that season? 1st, eight points clear of second placed United.
