Zlatan Ibrahimovic is no doubt one of the very few witty footballers left in the game and the veteran striker cracked up ribs at Carrington on Wednesday during Manchester United’s pre-match press conference ahead of the Europa League visit of Feyenoord.
The 35-year-old former PSG striker fresh from winning his historic 10th consecutive Sweden footballer of the year award, was teased by a journalist why he hasn’t shone much yet he just like he did at previous clubs and most recently in Ligue 1 last season netting 31 goals.
Ibrahimovic didn’t disappointed, as he gave the journo a cheeky response saying he shines 24 hours a day and his style of shining also depends on who’s asking.
“I shine for 24 hours [a day], so it depends how you want me to shine!,” he told the overseas paparazzi.
“I’ve been in the game for 20 years, and while I’m getting older, I feel I am getting better as I get older.
“I am shining in one way or another, but if you want me to shine even more then I will try and do it for you!”
Whichever way you want to view Ibra’s assertion, it also depends on whether the journalist in question is male or female.
Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic will be hoping he shines bright like a diamond against United’s Dutch opposition on Thursday night as they bid to put the disappointing draw against Arsenal behind them.
