Brazil Under-23 midfielder Andreas Pereira is poised to spend the campaign in Spain to gain the first-team experience required in one of Europe’s top divisions.
“I love Andreas Pereira as a player and I would love to have him in my squad,” Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho said of the 20-year-old at Friday’s press conference.
“But he will go to Granada.”
Granada have already taken three English Premier League players on loan this summer transfer window – they include Jeremie Bogie and Victorien Angban from Chelsea as well as Jon Toral from United’s perennial rivals Arsenal.
After making 13 appearances during Louis van Gaal’s time in charge, Pereira scored in Jose Mourinho’s opening pre-season friendly at Wigan Athletic with a superb drive.
