Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has provided updates on two of his senior first team players ahead of Saturday’s Premier League trip to Leicester City.

The Gunners lost 4-3 at home to Liverpool on Sunday in their league opener but could once again be without key names like Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny as well as Olivier Giroud going into the game against the defending champions.

Wenger has revealed French internationals Giroud and Laurent Koscielny could miss the King Power Stadium clash as well as German midfielder Ozil.

“We will try, but when they have not enough preparation they get injured,” Wenger told club’s official website when asked whether the trio will feature.

Ozil was included in the provisional squad going into the game against Liverpool last week but was left out of the match day squad due to fears over his level of fitness.

Koscielny and Giroud reached the Euro 2016 final with France, while Ozil’s Germany made it to the semi-final.

The Gunners are already without Per Mertesacker, Gabriel, Danny Welbeck, Alex Iwobi and Aaron Ramsey due to injury.
