After securing the services of Unai Emery as their new head coach and capturing Grzegorz Krychowiak from Sevilla, Paris Saint-Germain have set their sights on Real Madrid star James Rodriguez as their next marquee acquisition.
According to Yahoo Sport France, the Colombian international’s agent, none other than Jorge Mendes, is in advanced talks with PSG over a potential move.

Although no agreement has been reached, their report appears to indicate that negotiations have been smooth and that James’ arrival is a probability.
Rodriguez’s future has been a matter of much speculation over the past few months, with Marca reporting this week that it hangs in the balance.
Although the club and manager Zinedine Zidane want to keep the player, there are doubts over his level of commitment.
According to their report, Rodriguez’s future may hinge on a meeting between club president Florentino Perez and Zidane.
There is a sense, in the Spanish capital, that James can still fulfil his extraordinary potential after a wayward period, stemming from reported friction with former boss Rafael Benitez.
However, according to Yahoo, Rodriguez’s head has been turned by Emery’s attractive project at the French champions.
Rodriguez has three years left on his Real Madrid contract and would likely cost PSG in excess of £50m. Interestingly, Yahoo also claim PSG are not interested in signing Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, with Emery reportedly preferring Carlos Bacca, who played for him at Sevilla.
