The Nigeria international striker on loan from Chinese club Guangzhou R&F is supposed to cut ties with Russian giants CSKA Moscow this summer but they want to sign the 21-year-old on a permanent contract.

It is understood CSKA chiefs were pleased with Aaron Samuel’s contribution to the team and are set reward his hardwork and loyalty.

Though Samuel has been on the sidelines since May 2 after damaging his knee ligaments in the Russian Cup final between CSKA and Zenit St. Petersburg but it is understood he has flown to Germany where he will undergo surgery in the coming days.

Depending on the success of the surgery, Samuel may be offered fresh terms by CSKA after the loan pact between the Russians and their Chinese counterparts terminated at the end of last month.
