Manchester City midfielder Fernando was held responsible for the lone goal that sealed Champions League final for Real Madrid for the second time in three years where they will face their 2014 opponent Atletico Madrid.

Fernando deflected a shot from Gareth Bale that bounced into the top left corner to give Madrid a 1-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu after the first leg had ended goalless last week in England.

Madrid beat Atletico 4-1 in May 2014 to win their 10th European title and could make it 11 if they overcome local rivals Atletico on May 28 in this season’s final in Milan.
