West Bromwich Albion are carrying out holistic player sanitation at the Hawthorns and that process has forced 28-year-old Nigeria international out of the club after the Baggies refused to renew his contract.
Victor Anichebe played 63 games for the Baggies scoring nine goals after joining the club from Everton three years ago.
The heavily chested striker announced on Twitter earlier this week that he would be leaving the Premier League club.
“Thank you to all the fans for the support during my time at the club! I wish you all the best for the future. God bless,” he wrote.
Anichebe follows his fellow African Stephane Sessegnon who joined from Sunderland out of West Brom.
