Barca needed to win to secure the league title with Real, one point behind despite securing a comfortable 2-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruna.
It is the 24th league title in Barca’s history and their sixth in eight seasons.
An open-top bus victory parade has been scheduled for Sunday 15 May starting from 6pm CET around the centre of the Catalan capital.
