The Ghana Football Association [GFA] are reportedly in talks with Manchester United in attempts to poach the Red Devils’ burgeoning talent, the 18-year-old’s representatives Stellar Group have confirmed.

It understood the West African nation’s football governing body are keen on taking Netherlands-born fullback Tim Fosu-Mensah to represent the Black Stars.

Fosu-Mensah, a former Ajax junior, qualifies to play Ghana at international level and their FA has been in contact.

“We have been called, Ghana is indeed trying to persuade him to choose that country,” the youngster’s agent confirmed.

Fosu-Mensah has impressed since breaking into Louis van Gaal’s first team and was again outstanding for the FA Cup win at West Ham and is set to keep his place this weekend when United face Aston Villa.
