Italian tactician Carlo Ancelotti has been hailed as the best of the last four Real Madrid managers by Croatian playmaker Luka Modric.
The 56-year-old Italian failed to win La Liga title in two seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu but delivered Los Blancos their record 10th Champions League trophy, the third of his managerial career and won four trophies overall at the Spanish capital.
However, one of the players who worked under him claims he is the best of the four managers he has worked with at Madrid since 2012, stating that the pair forged a ‘great relationship.
“I had a great relationship with them and they helped me, all of them, to improve, but if I have to pick one, I would pick Mr Ancelotti,” Modric, who has also played under Jose Mourinho, Rafael Benitez and currently Zinedine Zidane told the BBC.
“We had a great relationship, we still have a good one; that’s why I would pick him.”
