Arsenal have confirmed England midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be out of action until the end of the year’s first quarter with a knee ligament injury.

Meaning the 22-year-old won’t be available for the season run-in and might not be fit for selection in Arsene Wenger’s squad until end of April.

Oxlade-Chamberlain met with a specialist on Friday and club medics are confident he will play again this season and should be available for the final games of the campaign.
