Norwich City have confirmed the signing of 17-year-old attacking midfielder who is a second-year scholar on a two-and-a-half year contract which runs until 2018.
Diallang Jaiyesimi, who has been playing for non-league side Dulwich Hamlet, was born in England but is of Nigerian descent. He joined the Aspire Academy run by the club’s manager Gavin Rose when he was 14.
Jaiyesimi had been watched by Norwich scouts since September.
He was invited to play in four trial matches for the Under 18s, scoring against Arsenal in one and impressing in victories against West Ham and Leicester City.
The talented teenager has now been integrated into Graeme Murty’s Under 18 Norwich team.
