Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez became the first footballer from Algeria to score a hat-trick in the Barclays Premier League history after his goals in the Foxes 3-0 win against Swansea City on Saturday.

He became the 156th player to score a hat-trick in a league game and the 24-year-old Sarcelless-born striker is the 41st different nationality to do so.

Mahrez’s three goals at the Liberty Stadium against struggling Gary Monk’s side is the 288th league hat-trick since its inception in 1992.
