A family source has revealed that Castilla coach Zinedine Zidane is set to replace underfire Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez at the Santiago Bernabeu in case the Spaniard gets sacked according a report in French tabloid L’Equipe.

“He feels he can now help the team. He doesn’t view the job as being so difficult,” a family source said.

“He knows things could change very
quickly.”

Real president Florentino Perez held a media conference last night to give Benitez a public backing after their 4-0 El clasico drubbing by Barcelona.

However, Zidane feels ready to step in should Benitez fail to turn results around.
