Hector Bellerin believes Arsene Wenger does not need to spend money in the January transfer window to bring in new players despite injury to key figures in Arsenal’s first-team squad.
Road runners such as Theo Walcott, Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere and Francis Coquelin are all out injured for the north London club.
But 20-year-old Spanish defender Bellerin says regardless of how it goes down, the current Gunners squad is still ‘strong’ enough to challenge comfortably for the Barclays Premier League title.
“There is a lot of quality in the team and I do not think we need any new players,” Bellerin told IBTimes UK.
“If someone new comes he will be welcomed but I think we have a very strong squad, with good replacements for every position.
“The players just have to think about the coming games and nothing else.”
