Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been charged by the England Football Association for ‘misconduct’ following his first-half dismissal against west London rivals West Ham United on Saturday.

“Jose Mourinho has been charged with misconduct in relation to his language and/or behaviour towards the match officials in or around the dressing room area at half-time,” an FA statement said on Monday.

Mourinho is currently appealing against a £50,000 fine and suspended one-match stadium ban for comments made about officials following the Blues’ loss to Southampton earlier this month.

However, his current felony came in this weekend’s 2-1 loss to the Hammers, the Blues fifth defeat of the 2015/16 Barclays Premier League season after the former Inter Milan coach was sent to off for petulance by referee Jon Moss.
