Liverpool’s torrid start to the new season has drawn attention from several quarters with the Reds on seven points after five Barclays Premier League games.
Fans of the club are desperate for a change of management and now former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann has backed former Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp to replace stuttering Brendan Rodgers as club manager.
Klopp took some time away from coaching at the end of last season after spending eight seasons with the Signa Iduna Park club.
“This discussion has already been going on for a long time and in Liverpool, the pressure has increased again,” Hamann told Sky Sports.
“The question is whether Jurgen Klopp would join Liverpool during the season. Had they asked him before the season, I would have been 99 per cent certain that he goes there.
“Many people say he will appear in Munich (Bayern) on July 1, but I don’t know where he would fit in. I think at Liverpool he would fit perfectly.”
