Manchester United have reportedly demanded a mouthwatering £35m from Real Madrid if they are to sign 24-year-old goalkeeper David de Gea this summer.

United boss Louis van Gaal left De Gea out of United’s 1-0 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday with the Dutchman claiming the Spaniard had lost focus.

However, the summer transfer rumble between the Red Devils and La Liga giants Real continues and after the Spanish capital club’s initial offer of £25m for De Gea, it is understood the Old Trafford club have upped their price by further £10m.
