Manchester City have announced the signing of 24-year-old Belgian winger Kevin De Bruyne from Bundesliga club Wolfsburg on a six-year contract in a deal reportedly worth £52million.
De Bruyne underwent a medical on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium.
He began his professional club career at Genk in Belgium, impressing for four years before moving to Chelsea in 2012 and then a glittering spell with Wolfsburg.
“I want to reach the highest level possible as a player and I think the most important thing is that at the end of the season we can be happy and maybe have some titles,” De Bruyne told City’s official website.
“I think this is the most important for the club, the players and for the fans of course.”
