Slovakian defender Martin Skrtel has signed a new contract extension with Liverpool.
The 30-year-old has a year left on his current contract at Anfield.
Skrtel joined Liverpool from Zenit St Petersburg in January 2008 and has made a total of 293 appearances for the club.
His future had been thrown into doubt after he rejected a contract offer from the Reds last month but has now made a U-turn to put pen to paper to elongate his stay at the Red side of Merseyside.
Skrtel was an ever-present for Liverpool last season, featuring in 48 matches for the Reds in all competitions.
