Arsenal have had their £25million bid for Monaco’s 22-year-old midfielder accepted and the French playmaker is closing in on a summer transfer to the Emirates according to reports in France.
The Gunners look to have sealed the deal but Arsene Wenger faces stiff competition from Serie A giants Inter Milan who have reportedly inquired about the midfielder.
Inter are willing to offer £18.5million for Geoffrey Kondogbia but that will fall short of Monaco’s valuation with the Ligue 1 outfit asking for at least £25million.
Kondogbia has been an option for Wenger since he was at Lens as a teenager and shot to prominence with his performances for Sevilla.
He impressed again in the Champions League this season where he helped Monaco beat Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
