Officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have confirmed that arrangements have been finalized for the female national team, Super Falcons to storm Canada next Wednesday, ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015.
The chairperson of Nigerian Women’s Football League, Mrs Dilichukwu Onyedinma while speaking with reporters assured that everything is in place to ensure that the Falcons receive adequate preparations for the competition, where their best outing was in 1999 when they went as far as the quarter-final.
The Falcons have been promised $250,000 if they make it to the finals will start their campaign in Canada when they take on Sweden on June 8, then Australia on June 12 before ending their group games with USA on June 16.
Onyedinma assured that the African Champions will have a number of international friendly matches to test their mettle once they land in North America next week.
