Two-time Champions League winner Jose Mourinho claims he’s ‘calm’ ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s imminent arrival to the Premier League from Germany according to reports.
The Portuguese tactician, revealed Klopp, his very good friend, personally told him on phone when news of him leaving Dortmund at the end of the season broke and was linked with the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal.
Mourinho was speaking to the press ahead of Saturday’s Barclays Premier League showdown with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, when he was asked if he’s aware of Klopp leaving the German Bundesliga and moving to England next season, and the possibility of him losing his job when Klopp swings by.
However, Mourinho renowned for his stentorian aura, doused such talks
One thing Mourinho is sure of is Klopp may or may not end up in a managerial seat in England, but even if he does, he’s not scared of the 47-year-old outgoing Dortmund manager coming to the west London side to dethrone him.
“He’s a very good coach, but I have no idea if he comes to the Premier League. He’s a very good coach, he’s a good friend, I like him very much.
“If he comes, welcome. But I don’t want to get into that story, ‘where is he going?’
“The only thing I know is that he told me he’s not coming to Chelsea, for sure – and he told me that personally, so, I’m calm.”
