Queens Park Rangers secured a 3-2 win over Leicester City on Saturday at Loftus road to move off bottom of the table, and that game produced an incredible 52 shots on target to set a new Premier League record of the most shots in a match.

Five of those 52 chances created by both teams were converted, as QPR won courtesy of Charlie Austin’s goal.

Closest to that was the benchmark pegged by the game between Manchester United and Sunderland in 2006, when they recorded 50 shots at goal. Ironically, that game ended goalless at Old Trafford.
