Reports slipping out of Super Eagles camp in Brazil claim coach Stephen Keshi is set to jettison Stoke City striker Osaze Odemwingie and Ramon Azeez for Nigeria’s clash with Bosnia-Herzegovina in Group F on Saturday.
Osaze came in as second-half sub in Nigeria’s pulsating 0-0 draw with Iran on Monday, though the 32-year-old forward added some creativity and pace into the Eagles’ attack, but Keshi claimed after the match that he didn’t play “according to instruction”.
Keshi is also disappointed with Azeez’s
performance against Iran and will bring in Michael Uchebo to replace him in Nigeria’s second Group match.
However, team captain Joseph Yobo is expected to start against Bosnia, as Godfrey Oboabona picked up a leg injury against Iran in the group opener.
