Arsenal trio of Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey, and Gedion Zelalem have penned new deals, the club have confirmed.
Spanish midfielder, Cazorla has extended his stay at The Emirates until 2017 by signing a £80,000-a-week deal, while Wales captain, Ramsey had agreed a new £90,000-a-week deal last week Wednesday.
Ramsey’s current deal runs until 2018 and is worth £60,000-a-week.
Also, 16-year-old forward Zelalem, who made his debut against Coventry City in the FA Cup earlier this season, has signed his first professional contract.
While confirming the news to the press, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted that the three players signing is a major “boost” to the club, stressing that Cazorla and Ramsey are “key players”, whose roles have been pivotal to the club’s league improvement this season, and the French tactician hopes the players commitment to the club will harness their title chasing ambition.
Wenger said: “We are very pleased that Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey and Gedion Zelalem have committed their futures to the Club. Cazorla and Ramsey are absolutely key players for us, and this news is a boost to the whole club.
“Gedion is very young of course, but he has shown already that he has fantastic promise, and we all look forward to his development with us.”.
