Manchester City bounced back from the Champions League loss against FC Barcelona as they beast Stoke City 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Stoke City came close scoring in the 3rd minute when Charlie Adam whipped a long range shot which was easily collected by Joe Hart.
City were unlucky to get a goal as they kept putting pressure on the Stoke City defenders. Manuel Pellegrini’s men were desperate to set the records straight by returning to their winning ways after the midweek slip up against Barcelona.
As the game proceeded in the second half, Pellegrini introduced Jesus Navas and Stevan Jovetic into the attack. Minutes later City broke the deadlock after Yaya Toure whipped in Kolarov’s cross from close range, with Begovic’s hand not enough to stop it rolling over the line.
