Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea believes Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart can “work very hard” to regain his number one spot in the Blue’s team.
De Gea, who clocks 23 tomorrow has now established himself as United’s untouchable numero uno within the sticks insists playing at the top level is complicated and mistakes are inevitable.
“Joe Hart is a great keeper,” De Gea said. “It’s very complicated to play at the top level and never to make mistakes.
“I am sure he will work very hard to go back into the first 11 and sooner or later he will make it.”
Hart was dropped for the 7-0 Premier League victory against Norwich on Saturday following an extended
run of poor form which has seen him criticised.
The Spanish shot-stopper De Gea, also struggled to hold on to his starting place at United during his first two seasons in the Premier League, and most often, former boss Sir Alex Ferguson did replace him with Anders Lindegaard.
